“We Are Apex” Manifesto
Project Description
Apex was looking for a more active way to recruit like-minded individuals to help grow the business. At the time I was working on a lifestyle-themed video showcasing some of the fun our team has and I felt it needed a strong voice over to tie the visuals into the message of who we are and want we stand for. I ended up with this "We Are Apex" manifesto that worked really well with the video. You can hear it spoken beautifully by a good friend of Apex (and talented singer/songwriter/voice) over top of footage shot by myself and various team members at Apex events over the years.

"We Are Apex" Manifesto Script We’re hard-working. We’re filled with ambition, and always get the thumbs-up. We ignite our passions, and say goodbye to the status quo. We train like Spartans, and open doors to new opportunities. We study hard. We take note of our weaknesses, and always push towards A Better Way. We motivate, we cultivate, and congratulate on a job well done. We’re focused. but we have a blast. We’re always competing. We are rock stars. We are winners, and we’re strong. We’re fearless, and we’re going gorillas. We harness our skills. We fly high, and always land on our feet. But then we get up and climb higher. We are explorers. Sometimes we kick back, and relax. We hang loose, and hang out. We lift each other up to reach the peak. We’ve got moves like Jagger. We move faster, and jump higher. We live life to the fullest, and are open to new possibilities. We reflect on where we came from, and look ahead to the future. We strive to better ourselves. Together we reach new heights, and enjoy the view from the top. We are Apex.
“I am Apex” Apparel
The manifesto had such an impact (as did the “We Are Apex” concept) that I ended up incorporating it into a T-Shirt design where the text forms the left-half of our “X” logo.
